From The Twittersphere

IT was a real A+ ‘B’ weekend, with the release of a photo of Beyoncé and her twins, and the advent of #BeingBonang. Lovers and haters alike had a field weekend. On the field, the Namibian rugby team beat Zimbabwe, and the Western Suburbs field erupted into party mode. And, boom, it’s bae Monday again!

@KakeKashe: Our generation has to set things right. Raise our kids right, put humanity first, allow the best candidate to win instead of the comrade.

@TheMerja: Namibia’s current asset declaration is hogwash because most executives, the judiciary, and heads of SOEs are exempt. Declarations aren’t audited.

@Yo_Dutchess_T: Co-parenting is on a steady rise among single parents in Namibia, I hope we can apply that same agility towards hedge funds very very soon.

@BecomingPhill: Continually intrigued by how base chords of many west Afro pop songs are so similar to traditional Owambo music, can definitely connect dots.

#JustSaying

@___Stef: Just waiting for the sun to start coming up so I can tell it “you are doing amazing, sweetie”.

@Netmorris_: The only thing I #poach is eggs, not lions and rhinos. Issa poaching not a shooting.

@YoliYoli_: Bras and underwear should be clean and well-fitting. Imagine going beyond that to say “well well the colours don’t match”. On a Tuesday!

@neiltyson: Always seemed to me that millipedes have more legs than are necessary.

Beyoncé

@chasemylovex: I don’t get the “Beyoncé built a cult around herself” narrative. All this woman does is release music, go on tour and then hide for months.

@MathewNoKnowles: People love to talk about Bey’s baby name choices while their driver’s licence is full of -quan’s, -isha’s, and raggedy apostrophe placement…

@StripperPoIe: That Beyoncé level of “you’ll know my business only when I decide to tell you” is definitely a level to aspire to.

@MattBellassai: Beyoncé’s twins already made my skin clearer, cured my depression and restored my ability to love.

@Beyhive_China: It’s not Beyoncé’s fault media around the world spreading her images like crazy. All she did was post a few photos on Instagram for free.

You Know!

@AndImLee: Dear To Whom It May Concern, you are not going to borrow my phone and when I want it back you tell me to “wait a minute”.

@Rage_GM: If you’re planning on looking for flaws in me, kindly be advised that you’ll find them. I don’t stress myself to be perfect, my terms only.

@Zoleka_Yo: Helping people is not about you, it’s about being selfless. The moment you make helping someone about you, sh*t cancels out.

@ofentseprokid: People are not DIFFICULT. People are DIFFERENT. If we understand this, we can save many relationships in life.

Overheard

@chaabel: Ladies who drink beer and smoke, whose gonna marry you?

Drake's Ex Maliah Michel Says He Tried To Make Her Stop Stripping

One of Drake's exes has spilled some major tea about what the rapper is supposedly really like.

Bossip reports that during Drake's annual Houston Appreciation Weekend, he honored a few of his favorite dancers by escorting them to the party and gifting them with Louboutins and heaps of cash. The rapper even made jerseys for the women and "retired" them by hanging them up during the party.

Paid dues.

Dancers Lira Galore and Miracle Watts accepted Drizzy's invitation, but the third woman honored, Maliah Michel, opted not to attend the party, and responded to Drake's actions on Instagram, writing, "Contrary to 'social media news' no man can retire me. I'm shaking this a** into a wheel chair. Maliah will retire Maliah."

She wasn't finished there, though. She had a lot to say about how Drake treated her in the past (without actually mentioning him by name), saying that he often tried to make her quit dancing and that he was "mean and hurtful" towards her.

"Y'all don't know that n*gga been trying to make me stop dancing. Always putting me down about it. Always telling me I'm not better than anyone else in the club selling a** instead of dancing. But n*gga can't stay out the club," she wrote on Twitter yesterday. "Y'all just don't know. My only regret is ever trying to explain how much I love dancing. And thinking so highly of him. That I let his opinion of me mold my opinion of myself. F*ck that and f*ck you if you got a problem."

"I remember pleading with him to understand. I said Beyonce wears the same kind of stuff I wear," she continued. "This n*gga got mad and told me not to compare myself to Beyonce. B*tch wha?! Don't you ever tell me not to compare myself to Beyonce! I'm a woman that's what we do!!"

"No matter how light I tried to make things. Just always mean and hurtful. But whatever I'm done," she concluded.

It is pretty ironic that a man who loves strippers as much as Drake does and dates them as often as he does would be so judgmental about stripping.
