Here’s the reason Beyoncé named her daughter Rumi Carter

Beyoncé and Jay Z welcomed twins Rumi and Sir Carter on July 14, 2017. While we aren’t surprised by the name choices; given that Beyoncé named her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, one wonders though – why were the names Rumi and Sir chosen.

Well, it looks like Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles may have solved half of the mystery.

Regarding Rumi’s name, Tina took to Instagram to share some quotes from the 13th-century poet, whose name is Rumi too. It’s her caption that will intrigue you.

Her caption reads as, “This is poetry by the 13th century poet “Rumi” it’s not only beautiful but logical.”

She continued, “Love number three Sometimes we are the reason we can’t find love!! We have to work on ourselves first to be whole.”

And what is the number three quote? It reads as, “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

That’s definitely interesting, indeed!

Meanwhile, Beyoncé took to Instagram to share the first photo of her twins in an extravagant photo shoot. In the photo shared by Beyoncé, the singer is seen draped in a multicoloured floral ruffled robe and a blue veil while holding her tiny munchkins in her arms. With a scenic floral backdrop, Beyoncé and her twins look nothing short of a fairytale. The photo currently stands at 9.6 million likes and deservedly so.

Her caption for the photo reads as, “Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today.”

Drake's Ex Maliah Michel Says He Tried To Make Her Stop Stripping

One of Drake's exes has spilled some major tea about what the rapper is supposedly really like.

Bossip reports that during Drake's annual Houston Appreciation Weekend, he honored a few of his favorite dancers by escorting them to the party and gifting them with Louboutins and heaps of cash. The rapper even made jerseys for the women and "retired" them by hanging them up during the party.

Paid dues.

Dancers Lira Galore and Miracle Watts accepted Drizzy's invitation, but the third woman honored, Maliah Michel, opted not to attend the party, and responded to Drake's actions on Instagram, writing, "Contrary to 'social media news' no man can retire me. I'm shaking this a** into a wheel chair. Maliah will retire Maliah."

She wasn't finished there, though. She had a lot to say about how Drake treated her in the past (without actually mentioning him by name), saying that he often tried to make her quit dancing and that he was "mean and hurtful" towards her.

"Y'all don't know that n*gga been trying to make me stop dancing. Always putting me down about it. Always telling me I'm not better than anyone else in the club selling a** instead of dancing. But n*gga can't stay out the club," she wrote on Twitter yesterday. "Y'all just don't know. My only regret is ever trying to explain how much I love dancing. And thinking so highly of him. That I let his opinion of me mold my opinion of myself. F*ck that and f*ck you if you got a problem."

"I remember pleading with him to understand. I said Beyonce wears the same kind of stuff I wear," she continued. "This n*gga got mad and told me not to compare myself to Beyonce. B*tch wha?! Don't you ever tell me not to compare myself to Beyonce! I'm a woman that's what we do!!"

"No matter how light I tried to make things. Just always mean and hurtful. But whatever I'm done," she concluded.

It is pretty ironic that a man who loves strippers as much as Drake does and dates them as often as he does would be so judgmental about stripping.
