Beyonce’s dad Mathew Knowles to face Wendy Williams in showdown as she savagely shades …

Beyonce's dad Mathew Knowles to face Wendy Williams in TV showdown
Mathew Knowles and Wendy Williams will meet again (Picture: Getty)

Wendy Williams has returned to her purple seat this week after a 21-day hiatus – and will be welcoming Mathew Knowles, Beyonce's estranged father, as a guest despite their tense past.

The Wendy Williams show on Friday 23 March will most certainly be interesting as Wendy and Mathew have exchanged some heated words with each other in the past – plus it will be his very first appearance on the show.

Wendy, who has been away for three weeks to rest as she battled Graves' disease, will more than likely be using her comeback to have a potential showdown with the businessman, known for managing Destiny's Child and later Bey's solo career before his daughter fired him.

The 66-year-old is expected to ‘open up about his relationship with his super star daughter, Destiny's Child, and new book, Racism from the Eyes of a Child'.

If anyone can get him to spill some tea, it has to be good ol' Wendy, who is well-known for getting water out of a rock – but this can only happen if the pair refrains from squabbling.

Last December, Mathew took to social media to call out Wendy for focusing on negativity after she shaded Beyonce's former Destiny's Child singers, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.

She mentioned that Beyoncé has basically thrown them bones for their ‘flat careers' and Mathew, who previously managed the women, was not having it.

In a video that he posted on his Instagram page, he said: ‘Wendy Williams. You spend your day being negative. I prefer to spend my day being positive, helping my community.'

He added: ‘Maybe you don't know that Destiny's Child and Beyoncé were ranked in the Top 10 artists of the decade.'

Aside from a possibly shady conversation with Wendy, we can't wait to see if he will let us in on his famous daughters – Bey and Solange – and what went down in that infamous lift scene with Beyonce's husband Jay Z.

Mathew has previously dodged these kinds of questions before, you see…

Speaking on Good Morning Britain on 13 February, Mathew was asked by hosts about how he copes with seeing his children's personal lives in the news, specifically the lift moment in 2014 which saw Solange attacking her brother-in-law Jay-Z as his wife Bey watched on following the Met Gala.

Mathew swerved the question – focusing his answer on how Beyonce and Solange have been given the tools they need to be successful – although he alluded to it by saying that ‘everyone makes mistakes'.

Welp – we can hope.

Kandi Introduced Beyonce To Her Daughter & Now The’ RHOA’ Star Is Basically Mom Of The Year

You know you're an amazing mom when you make the unthinkable happen. Beyoncé took a photo with Kandi Burruss' daughter, step-daughter, and family friend, making the Real Housewives of Atlanta star basically the best mom in the entire world. On Sunday, the Bravolebrity shared an Instagram featuring her daughter, Riley Burruss, her stepdaughter, Kaela Tucker, and family friend Jasmine "QT Jazz" Robinson with Queen Bey at the 2nd Annual Wearable Art Gala held at the Where Art Can Occur (WACO) Theater Center in North Hollywood. WACO was founded by Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, and her husband, Richard Lawson.

Knowing how amazing she is for getting Beyoncé to pose for a photo, Burruss captioned the image:

The mom of the year award goes to me for getting my girls a pic with #QueenBey! @beyonce thank you for being so gracious to take a pic with @rileyburruss @kpt__ & @qtjazz. You made their night!

Yeah, she is definitely "mom of the year".

She clearly made their night, because all three young women shared the photo on their own Instagram accounts and included some totally relatable captions. First, Riley wrote, "My life is complete. No your eyes are not tricking you, I am standing next to THE Beyoncé." This is how pretty much anyone would after standing next to the Lemonade artist.

Next, Tucker captioned her image: "Not sure how I feel lmao Like BRO THATS @beyonce Lmfaoooo [four whining emojis] Thanks @kandi".

As for Robinson, well, she definitely had the funniest caption. She posted: "@beyonce said she likes my hair ....i almost gave her my entire head [crying laughing emoji]". Yeah, that sounds about right.

Anyone who meets Beyoncé for the first time and even has the chance to take a photo with her would react like these three did. It's an epic moment, to say the least. Plus, what makes the night all the more special is that the Grammy winning-singer was presented with a humanitarian award by her mother. Also, Gloria Carter, JAY-Z's mother was also honored for her humanitarian work.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Beyoncé said during her acceptance speech, "There's something that feels very off about receiving this award from my mother. She raised me to believe that giving is not an option, but a privilege and a responsibility." She continued, "I try to keep my charitable work quiet, because I thought these things should come from the goodness of your heart and not from anything orchestrated as a campaign." Can you imagine getting to hear her deliver this emotional speech?

You can see part of Beyoncé's speech below, which was shared on Instagram by Tucker. The entire evening really meant something to her, as she wrote, "I've never been so inspired and motivated. I was able to meet and be around people that make me want to go harder for myself and family. Beyoncé and Gloria Carter you are amazing women."

Burruss and Beyoncé actually have a history that extends beyond the RHOA star asking the superstar to pose with three people she cares about deeply. Did you know the Housewife co-wrote the hit Destiny's Child songs "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Bug A Boo"?

As anyone can probably imagine, working with Bey was an amazing experience. Burruss told Us Weekly in April 2015, "She is the epitome of hard work. I was blessed to be able to have worked with her early in her career." She had such a close relationship with her at one point in time the "Formation" singer and the other former Destiny's Child members gave Burruss a gift.

"I had talked to her about an issue I had in my group where somebody stole my diary from me," she said about Bey. "When we finished up our sessions, they bought me a diary, gave it to me, and wrote a sweet message on the inside like, 'No, you should go back to journaling and do your thing and don't worry about what happened in the past.'"

And now she's introducing Riley, Tucker, and Robinson to Beyoncé? Yeah, Burruss deserves all of the awards.

Beyonce’s daughter charms at charity auction

LOS ANGELES • Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of pop diva Beyonce and hip-hop artist Jay-Z, is only six years old, but she was a cool picture of self-assuredness last Saturday, when she bid for works at the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles.

The event was organised by Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles and her husband Richard Lawson to raise funds for a non-profit art and performance complex.

Blue Ivy drew a lot of attention when she made an initial bid - at US$17,000 (S$25,000) - for an acrylic painting of a young Sidney Poitier, the actor.

When she raised her offer to US$19,000, E! Online reported that her music mogul father's playful attempts to stop her from continuing to bid elicited much laughter.

But actor-comedian Tyler Perry fended her off with a US$20,000 winning bid.

Pumped up by the excitement of the chase, she then made a bid for an art piece made of deconstructed law and medical books.

This time, she prevailed, with a final offer of US$10,000 for Composed, described by the auction website as a work by Samuel Levi Jones.

Blue Ivy and Beyoncé’s matching gold dresses are all kinds of adorable

There's nothing quite as adorbs as a well-dressed mommy and child duo. Allow Beyoncé and Blue Ivy to demonstrate. The performer was spotted at the second annual Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles over the weekend, and while the long gold dress and delicate chain that decorated her hair was a show-stopper, Bey's best accessory was her mini me, six-year-old Blue Ivy, who was also wearing a flouncy gold gown and a little gold metallic wig.

The pair looked absolutely smashing, making a huge splash upon arrival as Blue Ivy waved enthusiastically to onlookers.

Beyoncé's outfit was a custom creation, dreamt up by Indian fashion house Falguni Shane Peacock, which is known for its avant garde designs.

“We wanted to create an art statement, taking inspiration from the Nubian warrior queen [Amanishakheto],” the designers Falguni and Shane Peacock told WWD. The cutouts, they explained, were meant to mimic sturdy armor.

“The elaborate gold train was added to create a 3D effect that emphasized royalty. Between the metallic cutouts to the gold dramatic train, we attained an artistic statement while respecting the Nubian inspiration,” they said.

And what a train! It was so dramatic that at least one handler was required to carry and maneuver it around as Bey moved throughout the night. (Imagine putting that on a resume? Beyoncé's Official Train Handler.)

It's not the first time Beyoncé and Blue have dressed up all glam together. Remember their matching outfits on the red carpet at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (pictured at the top of this story)?

Another super adorable moment of the night was when Bey's very own ma, Tina Knowles Lawson presented both Beyoncé and her MIL, Gloria Carter, with awards for their humanitarian work.

“Honouring Beyoncé and Mrs. Carter is just an honour for us because so many people have asked to honour Beyoncé and she's always said no. So, she couldn't tell me no because I'm her mom,” Knowles Lawson said on stage. “But the brave thing is that she has done so, so much for humanitarian methods and she never really talks about it or does a big hoop-dee-doo about it.”

Little Blue sat alongside her dad, Jay-Z, watching the whole thing unfold. Talk about a family affair to remember! We just hope that Bey and Blue hang on to these adorable matching gold gowns because they'll make awesome dress-up outfits for a rainy Sunday with nothing better to do.

Jay-Z and Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy bids $19000 on art

It seems Beyoncé and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy has an appreciation for fine art -- and a bank account to fuel it.

While attending the second annual Wearable Art Gala with her famous parents in Los Angeles Saturday, the confident 6-year-old bid on an acrylic painting of a young Sidney Poitier, valued at $16,000. The starting bid for the art piece was $10,000 and in footage shared online from a fan account, Blue is seen raising her hand at $19,000, with Jay-Z attempting to stop her in jest.

Vanity Fair reported that director Tyler Perry ultimately placed a winning bid on the painting for $20,000.

However, the magazine also noted that Blue took home another piece of art for the whopping price of $10,000 -- deconstructed law books from Indiana and medical books from California by artist Samuel Levi Jones. Her mother reportedly also won a set of Lorraine Schwartz panther earrings for a winning bid of $17,000.

The night was a special one for the Carter family for more than one reason, though. Beyoncé was also recognized for her humanitarian work at the gala, which was hosted by her mother, Tina Knowles-Larson, and stepfather, Richard Larson.

"I feel very overwhelmed and I feel really full and really blessed and fortunate," the singer said in a speech at the event. "There's something that feels very off about receiving this award from my mother. She raised me to believe that giving was not an option, but a privilege and a responsibility. I think the real reason I feel weird to receive this award from my mother is because I feel like I should be giving her an award tonight."

Beyoncé, Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy bid $19000 at charity auction

During the event's live auction, Blue, 6, raised her paddle to first bid $17,000 on a painting of Sidney Poitier.

Blue Ivy and her mother Beyoncé showed up to grandmother Tina Knowles' gala on Saturday in glittering gold gowns to bid tens of thousands of dollars on art.

During the event's live auction, Blue, 6, raised her paddle to first bid $17,000 on a painting of Sidney Poitier and again to raise her offer to $19,000 before her rap mogul dad jokingly took the offer token away from her, Vanity Fair reported. She didn't win that item but did manage to snatch up another item constructed from law and medical books for $10,000.

The Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles honored the charitable child's songstress mother, as well, presenting Beyoncé with the 2018 Wace Theater Humanitarian Award that came with a personalized video message of love from former First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Beyoncé also went home with a pair of Lorraine Schwartz panther earrings that she once wore to an event thanks to her $17,000 winning bid.

"I try to keep my charitable work quiet because I feel like these things should come from the goodness of your heart and nothing orchestrated as a campaign. And if I'm honored, I keep it quiet because I feel like I could be doing more."
